Has it really been since Sept?!

So it has obviously been way too long since I last posted. I am trying to do better. Darn Facebook makes it so easy to up load and post pics. However, I know many of you are not on FB so I will do better. Here are some random pics from the last 9 months!

Oct. 2010. This is a few days after Delaney's birthday, I took her to the local pumpkin patch. Her hair is so short here.

She is my little elephant. The costume is big enough I think she may use it again this year!

She is so excited Christmas morning. And look at how much more hair she has.

Delaney and Papa in the snow while we were at their house on vacation in Feb.

Delaney loves to go to the zoo, and ride the 'horseys'

All dressed up and ready to go to Church!

End of Summer

Summer was super fun and I guess that is why I haven't updated my blog in forever. Most of our days were spent at the beach and Delaney is quite spoiled for being able to spend all summer there. We managed to hit the zoo a few times and the indoor pool as well on those not so sunny days. The best part of summer was spending time with family. Auntie Sarah (Tia) and cousin Beckem came to play and then Grandma came. Fun!
--------------------------------------------

I took Sarah to the Ice Caves and the babies had fun in the back packs....of course, they didn't have to hike up the trail! Now that's the way to travel.

Delaney is super tired after a day of fun.

We made it!

Cousins at the beach.

Playing on the deck in the fountain.
--------------------------------------------

After reviewing lots of pictures we noticed that Delaney often pushed Beckem out of the way so she could be the center of attention. So funny.

In front of the Jaguar at the zoo.

On the beach.

"Don't think that flower is going to change my mind."
---------------------------------------------
While Sarah was here we used her photography skills to get some close-ups of Delaney.

So sweet.

Love that hat.

Blowing bubbles, one of her favorite things.

"I sure am cute."

"Are we done yet?"

New family pictures too.
-----------------------------------------

Our Ward camping trip was fun. We went early in the day and played at the camp.

The barrel swing was a hit.

Mama and Delaney at the river shore.
----------------------------------------------

Cute dress from Aunt Terri.

Paul's family are all HUGE Vikings fans. This Brett Favre jersey was a gift and so cute on our little fan. Maybe a Halloween costume? Just needs a little black under the eyes and some leg pads!

I bought this for Delaney off of Craig's list and she loves it. She also quickly learned how to stand on it....not so good. Fortunately she doesn't do it much.

Her favorite Craig's list buy.

What's not to love about a slide.

Spring Fun

We have been having fun and May and June just flew by. Delaney's vocabulary is ever-growing and she loves being outside, no matter the weather.

Meeting Sparky the Fire Dog at the Fire Dept.'s annual open house. She loves dogs, but never was brave enough to get closer than this.

Taking the Fire engine for a test drive.

Memorial Day. Cloudy but nice. The sun came out for a while. She had fun with Mama and Dada at the beach.

Yum...sand.

Delaney loves playing in my water fountain.

I am making her earn her keep....just kidding.

She loves to help me, despite her non-smile in this particular picture.

Notice we have matching 'pretties' in our hair. She won't let me put one in her hair unless I put mine in first. Whatever works!

She loves the watering can.
-------------------------------------------

We have annual passes to the zoo and she loves to go. She even knows her way around the place pretty good now. Here are some random pics. from the last two months.

She was the only kid around who just walked right up to the Peacock to try and pet it. Everyone else was too scared. It was hard to get this pic. since she kept walking towards it and wouldn't look at me. Silly kid.

After saying "big kitty," she got all excited by a bird that flew by. That is what she is pointing at.

Playing the drums in the African village.

She wouldn't look at me, she was too interested in the Elephant being so close.

Aww, a day at the zoo always equals a nap on the way home. Too bad Mommy doesn't get one!

Where did April go?

April must have been fun...It went so fast!

"Mom, why are you taking a picture of me with cream cheese all over my mouth!?"

This dress was a baby shower gift. It was so cute. I realized that it was getting too small and I hadn't taken a picture of her in it yet.

She has some cute dresses!

This is her Holly Hobbie pose. Another shower gift.

"Dada!" says the girl in the hot pink top.

----------------------------------------------
The last week of April Delaney and I 'abandoned' Paul and went to CA to see family, specifically some long lost cousins...you know who you are :-) We had a blast and the first morning we woke up to 8" of snow. My Parents live at 5200', but the funniest part was that during the almost 3 weeks we were there at Christmas.....nothing. Not even a stray flake. And people think we have weird weather here in Washington.

Welcome to CA!

Oh wait, when it snows in CA, the sun comes out and it melts pretty quickly. We had enough for two days of sledding fun...and a few snowmen.

"Seriously Mom! I know you like to takes walks, but in the snow? Does this stroller have 4-wheel drive?"

Back in the warm house with cousin Beckem.

"I love Grandma and Grandpa's house."

My cousin that lives in Hawaii came to the mainland for a visit. I haven't seen Audrey in like 15 years! We had a nice visit and the cousins had fun in the snow.

"Mom, this stuff is weird."

"Whoa, this tricky to walk on."

Yes, I am in short sleeves. It was sunny and high 60's with almost no humidity. I wasn't cold at all.
It only took three trips down the hill in the sled for Delaney to learn the word 'again'. I think I took her down (which means hauling her back up the hill) 15 or 16 times. Then I was the one that needed a nap!

Delaney and Beckem in the tub. I love silly babies!

Delaney was getting brave in grandma's back yard and decided to go down the slide herself. By the time this pic was taken it was in the 70's.

Delaney was determined to walk up the slide. Some day she will be big enough it will work.

Hanging out at Great-grandma's.

Delaney's cousins were showing her how to make the bike go by itself. It is one of those battery powered things. I'm not sure who was having more fun, Delaney or the boys.

Speaking of cousins, here are 14 of them together. The oldest is 14 and the youngest is 1 year.

Delaney with her Great-grandma and Great-grandpa. She is number 25, of 29 Great-grandchildren.

"Mom, put the camera down and give me a ride please."

Tractor ride with Papa.
We had quite a vacation!
---------------------------------------------
My cousin Jessica (who I hadn't seen in like 10 years) gave this darling dress to Delaney when we saw her in CA. Thanks Jess!

I know I am the mom, but dang she is cute!
---------------------------------------------
Sometimes when I check on Delaney at night before I go to bed, I find her in weird sleeping poses. I think she is part feline. Most nights I just laugh and cover her up. Last night, I had to get the camera. She slept through the camera flash and me untangling her feet from the crib. She just sighed and kept on sleeping. Paul and I laughed all the way to bed.
